You can buy you some single fold bias tape:
and sew it along the edges of your quilt with two lines of stitches (maybe a friend or professional seamstress can do this for you). Then run shock cord through the channel formed between the stitches. Add cord locks for adjustability. Buy bias tape in the notions department of any fabric store. Good luck!
