Welcome to HF Brady! And sure, you can push any quilt or bag when you need to by layering various garments such as fleece, synthetic or down parks/vests/pants or for the really adventurous vapor barrier clothing. ( just make sure you understand how VBs work so you don't get wet) I have done all of the above many times with much success.
