    Short Incubator (Phincubator)

Hey guys and gals, I'm considering buying a short Incubator something around the 70 inch range.

So, who has one? What do you think about it? How tall are you and how does it fit you?

    Pictures would be really helpful.

Have one, love it, can't recommend it more. I'm 6'1" and covers me shoulders to heels at a 68" length. I have 48" Leighlo but the phincubator is my go to almost always. I'll find some photos and add them in a bit. But just buy one...

Here is the thread with photos.

I have an incubator with the foot end shortened so that it extends from above my head (like a standard full length) to ~4" above my ankles. I didn't like the way full length UQ's always placed pressure on my outside foot trying to rotate it inward.

The shortened version is very comfortable for me.

After Brady bought that one from me, I had another made, same specs except 5" longer. I'm 6'2" - 6'3", and the way I sleep the 68" one just didn't seem to fit me quite right. Perhaps it was in my mind, but I wanted it a touch longer. So I ended up with a 73" Phincubator, and it covers me great from shoulder to just past my feet.

If it fits you correctly, cool. But for the OP - if you're thinking of getting a custom short quilt, I'd suggest you make sure to talk to Adam & Jenny, and not just buy a stock short incubator. As they make the quilt longer or shorter, it comes down to proportions of body section vs. leg shelf section. Essentially you want a quilt with the same length leg shelf, but a shorter body section like a Phoenix. If you just get the short incubator, where the length comes off will be different than if you ask for essentially a phoenix with a full leg shelf, i.e. Phincubator.

    Good luck.

    Here's my video from 2011:http://youtu.be/2E_PFFBXTK8

I have used it since 2011 and fluffs up after 3 years and no washes. Enjoy.

I am 5'6" and have a leighlo 66" and the short incubator 69". The incubator is a 0* and it's perfect for me. Covers head to toe easily. My leighlo is a little above shoulders to toe and also works well for me with a small down pillow
