    Grayson Highlands

    I'll be backpacking through Grayson Highlands this weekend. I am so excited about this trip. This will be the first hike since the break for summer heat. Will anyone else be in the Pine Mountain trail/AT area?

    I was there for the first time with the hang recently and LOVED the place!! You should be excited...AWESOME vistas in the area. The spring at Thomas knob was running pretty light...
    You don't HAVE TO be crazy to be here - But I assure you it will help.....

    It is a great place. This will be my 3rd time backpacking there. I will be hiking on the AT from Troutdale to Damascus in June. I made that trek in 2010 and it was incredible.

    I can hardly wait. I'll be breaking in new gear this weekend too, so that makes the anticipation even better.
