I have no desire to speak with ReserveAmerica and probably being charged for the phone call.

I just got 10. I might not make it down there Friday night. Lots of kids activities Friday night and Saturday morning to juggle, but I should be there Saturday afternoon or evening.

    Here's the latest map.

For those who have slept in 5, 10, 15 degrees...I have a 25 degree AHE New River and a Jarbidge. Thinking about stacking them. I have a 15 degree sleeping bag for a top quilt. I also just got a Hammeck Envy with top cover and a 2QZQ UQP. I use a Superfly as well. Of course I can also use a hot water Nalgene.

Do you think that will be warm enough?

You might be good. Stacking UQs is a perfectly good option, and using the over cover and UQP, and making sure your Superfly is closed up will all help. The hot water bottle trick does help as well, especially when used to pre-heat your hammock (toss it in there half an hour before you turn in to warm everything up).

Just remember, it's at Batona, and you can bring anything you like, since weight isn't an issue. Bring an extra sleeping bag, blankets, extra clothes, whatever you might need. My first year, second night it dropped down below the temp range that my DIY top quilt could handle, and my feet were freezing (I wasn't overly warm in general). Luckily I had a 0˚ synthetic mummy bag in the car, and I grabbed that, bundled up, and was warm for the rest of the night.

When you're getting into cold weather camping, and you're not backpacking, don't get caught up on using the 'proper' stuff, and just use the 'warm' stuff

Good advice. I do have other miscellaneous sleeping bags and of course clothes.

I just reserved site 3. It looks like there are only three remaining.

I may have missed this, but is someone going to pick up all the permits from the office or do we each have to go in person for the site we reserved?
