Need Whoopie Sling Instructor at MAHHA hang in Nov.

Anyone planning to come to the MAHHA hang who knows how to make a Whoopie Sling/constrictors for hammock hanging? Would you give me (a somewhat learning impaired hanger ) a demonstration on making those things at the hang? I'm sure others will be interested as well. Saturday afternoon or right before the Saturday pot luck is usually good for demonstrations.

    I am interested too!

My husband and I are hoping to make it there too. We are both new to hanging and would like to learn as much as possible. I hope 'brain picking' is encouraged!

I'm planning on making it to the MAHHA hang and will have Dutch suspension clips but neither Whoopie Sling nor hammock. <sigh> I'm still ground dwelling.. but when funds become available I'll be switching.

    Hope to learn a lot!

milksmi! How tall are you? I'll can bring my Hennessy A-Sym for you to sleep in while you are at hang if the A-Sym length works for you. I have extra pads for the underinsulation too. My HH has webbing so your weight shouldn't be an issue. You can test your Dutch clips on the HH webbing.

And I'm sure there is an extra under quilt in a gear locker here to make you comfortable in Dutch's hammock...

Does that mean the "gearskin" is now available to the hanging public?
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

I'm 5'9" 165lb. Just one hammock for now, still trying to convince my son. Type? Uh oh, wasn't expecting a test. WBBB or something like that. What's that called, anyway (a non-bridge hammock)?

Yes! Absolutely. I suggest bringing camera and taking pictures of setups and closeups of suspension techniques, knots, etc. Will be great to meet you at the hang, tagalong.
