It may not be for everyone, but for the colder months, I use two hammocks. I read about this from someone on here, but anyway, I have the ENO Double nest not doing much these days so I put it to use. I hung it under the Brazilian with a gossomer gear 1/4" CCF pad in it. The Brazilian stretches a lot when you get in and the ENO wraps around kind of like an underquilt. I'm sure an underquilt is much better, but I used what I had and didn't want to spend the $$$ at this time. This way, you have the insulation of a pad, but don't have to fight with it shifting all over the place.Originally Posted by
Another thing to consider for the colder months is how to keep warm. I've discovered that layering with blankets is a nuisance in a hammock. A better idea is to use a mummy or semi-mummy type sleeping bag. I'm currently using a North Face sleeping bag rated for 40-degrees fahrenheit in a Brazilian hammock and so far I've kept comfortably warm down to 68-degrees fahrenheit. [url=www.campmor.com
