Raven Cliff Falls Hang 10-19-14

Had a great time at the Raven Cliffs hang. It was nice to see old friends and make some new ones. We had a good turn out and SwinginIt and his son and also Inspector Guy dropped by for a visit. This was the third Georgia fall hang at Raven Cliff Falls and it's always a good time. We usually have the place to ourselves but this time we had some company. A group of about 25 from Perimeter College was there for a PE survival course and were on one side of us and another group of college kids on the other side let us enjoy their stereo until 3:30 in the morning. Fun times! Saturday nights dinner was great! Squidbilly made a pot of chili that was really good and Maddog made his world famous bacon jalapeño mac and cheese. Everyone was stuffed and smiling after dinner.

The weather was perfect here in the N. GA. area. I hated that I wasn't able to make it. I hope everyone had a great time.

I came up Friday and got there just before dark, hung up next to Old 4 Hats and enjoyed the company and sitting by the fire. Was good to see everyone agoan and a couple pf new folks as well, too bad I had to get back to Atlanta Saturday morning after breakfast and coffee and I and hated to leave. Looking forward to the Halloween Hang at this same location in a couple of more weeks!

A huge Thank You! to everyone for a great weekend. It's always nice to meet new friends. Max, BeBop, and I thoroughly enjoyed hanging out with y'all. Can't wait to do it again.

Well I will have to say what a great hang I met some new hangers and got reacquainted with some regulars. The temperature were perfect. Raven Cliff falls seems like a great place for a hang as 2ply stated is was a little crowded but we managed. I could not believe the local law enforcement was handing out parking tickets. Is it not a Park? Had a really great time picked up some tips from Old4hats, and Squidbilly. Thanks Guys. several of us made the hike to the falls I have to say you don't want to miss that there Beautiful. Thanks Max and Mark for being our tour guides.
I mentioned my Daughter has been begging for a hammock in her bedroom Squidbilly graciously offered up a Hot Pink hammock he made with Hammock in Hand and tips from Old4hats I stopped on the way home and bought some eye bolts and hung the Hammock while my Daughter was out. Needless to say she loves it and it works well in her purple room.
I can't wait to get out again.

I hated to miss this one, but I will see you all at the Halloween Hang. I will bring a pot of venison vegetable soup. I froze it, so it will be ready to go.

Did y'all hear anything about the guy that fell from the cliffs over the weekend? Saw something on one of the ATL news websites this morning but not much detail...
