    Texas Hanger

Hey, Hammock Forums! I'm a long-time (well 5ish months) lurker on this site and I'm wanting to get more active on here and introduce myself. I've tackled quite a few DIY projects and I'll be sharing them on here soon. Most of the projects couldn't have happened without the information from this website. I live east of Houston so the comfortable hammock season is just now getting started for me, and I'm hoping to get out in the woods more than I have been. I'm a full-time college student so my time is pretty limited but I try and make it work.

    Here's my current setup.

I'm using a ten foot gathered end hammock, fronkey style bug net, and a cat cut hex tarp, all DIY.

    Hope to see y'all around!

    Thanks!
If I didn't drive such a gas guzzler I would love to, but a 400 mile round trip is a little more than I can do right now. Maybe in the future!

Head over to the planning thread and see if you can carpool with someone; we have lots of Houstonians headed our way. The Texas hang is a blast!

    Good looking set up BTW.

All that is DIY!? Nice man! I'm still working on my crappy sewing skills. Ha! Hope you find someone to carpool with to the Texas hang in a few weeks!
