Aw thanks guys y'all are too nice... full disclosure, I had several years of sewing/tailoring experience before I decided to enter the hammock DIY world, BUT, I still think anyone with basic skills and patience could succeed. I was being careful and going slow, so total labor time was somewhere around 10-12 hours.

Thanks for such a nice tutorial- in particular the nice detail shots.
I have materials all set for a UQ and TQ, and have just started figuring out the details of them.

Really nicely done and well documented too. Congratulations!

I used grosgrain channels for my last one, but the next one will definitely use channels like you've done.

Really nice work! I'm working on my UQ right now, I hope it turns out as nice. How did you determine the distance between your darts on the ends?

    Cheers,
    Marshall

I just eyeballed it. I did 3 darts on the ends, 2 on the next 3 baffles and only 1 in the center baffle to make it symmetric. I also pointed them all towards the center.

That is great, if you did not use pleats what would be the other option(s). I would like to try this but maybe should start with a TQ should be easier, similar but without the differential cut, pleats and channels. Gidgetgirl....waiting for the tutorial
