Steve, I have not crossed there, but everyone says it is wide, and fairly shallow. Not much more than knee deep in normal water levels. There were signs on both side indicating a point to aim for. I did a search on the yahoo group, but was not able to find more description than that.

Thanks for info Ken. Just browsed a few photos on the site and the anticipation doubled. Can't wait
Are you considering a loop next week or at another time?
Be sure to research it well. A lot of folks under estimate the time & difficulty involved for some of the gorge hikes, especially a loop
But of course, you may be up to it. I think I'd want at least 3 nights & 4 days to do a loop... but that's just me
I too will something make and joy in it's making
Mo' than happy to help with shuttling ....... might even want to hike down river and egress "Pinch In" myself .... love that steep ol' trail. Nose to bluff with the Gorge! It will get your heart pumping .... manly yes.

geez guys! 74 pages!!!! I do not have the energy to read through this whole thing, anyone care to give me a general run down of the plans for next week?
I don't know if we (jgregory124 and I) will be on the ridge Tuesday am or not. Still not sure when we'll be arriving (will definately be there sometime on Monday).
If I can help shuttle, etc... then we'll make a point to be on the ridge Tues. am.
I have a extended cab truck and long bed.
Be glad to help any way that may be needed... which begs this question; is there anything needed that we can contribute to the breakfast, or anything else?
...And then one day you find, ten years have got behind you.
