Jacks- incredible service!

Made a last minute decision to purchase a hammock and other accessories for a trip leaving middle of next week. The last item I needed was a top quilt- Purchased one online last night from Jacks and woke up to an email this morning that it had already shipped. That is incredible service! I have no doubt that if the quilt is half as warm as their service I will be very comfortable!

Also, Clarke's is sending my hammock out super fast as well- Thank you!

I bought their zero degree tq extra long- a little over kill for the temps I will get out in this winter but better hot than cold!
Really hoping to get this whole deal dialed in this winter and then getting my son a setup- be a lot fun to do together!

I'm sure you'll be ok, but I just want to point out being too hot is not necessarily better than too cold, especially in the winter. If your insulation is too warm you will sweat a lot and make you and your bag wet, which can cause hypothermia if not properly controlled, even during the summer. This is compounded by the fact that down is a lot less efficient when it is wet.

The good news is you can vent quilt much easier than traditional sleeping bags, so this may not be an issue, but I just wanted to make you aware if if it wasn't something you aware of. In practice, though, you'll probably just be nice and toasty. 0° might be a little warm for summer use, but then you can just open things up or just pull it off if that's the case. Either way, I'm sure you'll be happy with your purchase. Jack's seem to get nothing but praise around here. Can't speak from personal experience, but they seem like a well put together product.
