So I have decided to upgrade from the ENO DN and ProFly to an upgraded system. I know I want to get my hands on a HammockGear cuben tarp soon but I am in between decisions on which hammock to get next. Ive been watching Shug's videos (because everybody, even non hammockers should watch his videos) and I'm pretty interested in the bridge style hammocks like the Ridgerunner from WB. Has anyone had any experience with using treking poles as the spreader bars? I'm upgrading my hang system for an upcoming thruhike of the AT so I'm trying to cut weight as much as possible and hauling spreader bars might get frustrating. Thanks for the input!
