    Question Sap on the Webbing

I got a bit of sap on my webbing suspension on the last trip (yes I have yet to rig up the whoppie)

I was just wondering what peoples thought are on getting it off.....or avoiding it... or other solutions etc.

I had to pack the hammock up with the straps lef out as I didnt want to get the stuff all over it.

It would be a nightmare in the bug mesh.

    Cheers

There was another good, and recent, thread about sap here.

I think there's yet another thread about it. I'll post back here if I run across it.

    edit - found it.

Or something similar. I've used it on tarps and straps with no known or visible signs of degradation.

If you want to go all hippie you could try one of the citrus cleaners.

Only thing safe I've found so far is denatured alcohol. Tried some of the "home remedy" kind of things suggested, WD-40, rubbing alcohol, etc., with no luck.

I'll appreciate seeing if anybody has a better suggestion.
