    Slack structural ridgeline

Just installed my SRL @ 83% and it was almost spot on, however, I had to mess with my tree strap height and tension.
So, my question is: with a SRL, do you hang your hammock lower but tighter, or normal height and pull till SRL bears the load? Trying to find the best method without having a slack ridgeline. Thanks!

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that you want your ridgeline to have a little bit of slack in it when you are not in the hammock. It will tighten up when you get in, but not to the point where it is bearing all of your weight.

Correct, I meant some of the load, not the whole thing, I just kept having too much slack where the line was loose above my head while lying down.

Usually if my ridgeline is slack, there is not enough distance between my trees.
Keep movin', keep believing and enjoy the journey!

I use this method too and I find this the most comfortable method (for me).
