    Hammock stand

I only have one tree that I can hang from. So I need a stand. I was looking for wood in garage and realized I had a collapsible ladder. I put in three stakes and three ropes to hold the one side down. It seems to hold me fine.

I love this idea, making use of what you've already got on hand. Great job, Crash!

Not saying your going to crash....just thought it was funny.

Everyone thought I was going to crash in the middle of the night. I used footlong orange stakes from Home Depot to make sure it was not going to crash. I wish I thought of this sooner.

That's a rather ingenious way of making a hammock stand. As long as it's safe and won't give you any discomfort, then go for it. Will you be using the ladder for a long time?

Its good for a couple of nights before I had to take up the rope slack and restake it.
