My Backyard Double Decker Hammock Stand

Thought the board might get a kick out of this.... So last year (prior to this whole hammocking thing) I designed and my dad help me build a pergola in the backyard. Even though we live in a townhouse, I still love the whole outdoor room thing. So, we built the pergola, wired it for a ceiling fan, added a drop screen, and it has been great! But then...it got even better....

When I picked up my eno, and started down the dark path of obsession, I realized that it was the perfect diagonal distance to hang out there, under the fan and under the stars! Now that the BB is here, I decided to try to go cross diagonal, double decker tonight.

    Worked like a charm!!

Very cool idea. A little high off the ground for my taste as far as hanging goes, but cool nonetheless.

That's awesome! Bet your neighbors think you're looney, too!

How does one get into the top "bunk" in these multiple-decker setups I've been seeing?

    Curious,

It's almost 2010... Aren't we all supposed to have our jet packs by now?!?!

A simple boost of my wife and she's up and away. Really not that high. I can lift myself up and in, but i don't think she wants to be below me... Hmmm...

This is a cool idea. How is it working out?

    Yes!
    Yes!
    and
    Yes!
They were promised to me and I'm still mad about it.

That's a cool set-up on a back porch of a townhome. Neighbors probably think you're weird, but are secretly jealous. The kids in my neighborhood are mad at me right now because I've already got all my hammocks boxed-up for the move this weekend.
    Trust nobody!
