Ridgeline tieouts for SF w/o hardwear

I recently invested in a SF on a gear forum and it needs a ridgeline. After looking around here, I think that I will go with the two pullouts.

I was trying to use what I have at home, rather than buying any new line or hardware, to make the two pulls. I was also thinking taught line hitches for once I bring it around the tree. I have some paracord at home as well as some mason line and some other old guy line from a colman tent. I know none of this is optimal, but I am trying to make it work!

    Is this an okay method?

(I am saving up for a WBBB 1.7 SL!!!!!)

Yep, that'll work fine. I'd suggest tying the hitches slipped to aid taking the tarp down.

Thanks! I always try a slippery half at the end, but I never seem to get it tight enough....

That's the problem with para. Too much stretch. I only have one tree in the back yard so I have to use two 2x4' anchored to the fence with paracord as my other tree. BOUNCY. Dutch has a pretty good deal going on the ZINGIT/LASHIT. 180' will get you several tarp RL's and it doesn't stretch.

I use braided mason line for my CRL my first time hanging the newer tarp. It worked great. Like you I didn't want to shell out the cash for zing - it.
