    Hello from Ontario

    Hi All,

Just stopped by to introduce myself. My name is Mark and I'm a long time canoe tripper and wildlife photographer from southern Ontario.
I purchased a Hennessy Hammock Asym Zip about 4 months ago and immediately knew I was hooked, I have 15 days under my belt so far with many more to come.

    Let the hammock modifications begin.

Welcome to camping above ground. You sound like me: after my first hang I knew there was no going back to sleeping on the ground.

Hello and welcome! There is a fairly active group of Ontario hanger here that get together for trips. Subscribe to this announcement thread to find out when the latest hangs are. There is a winter car camp planned for January. If you are not to far from Hamilton, come on out even just for a visit if you want to meet some fellow hangers and see some different rigs.

    Hey Mark, welcome aboard!

Few things go together better than canoeing and hanging. Odds are we'll start mulling over the where's and when's of the next EGL winter backcountry and then 2015 spring canoe trips around the fire at Valens. You're more than welcome to join us on either. Personally, I've been heading up to Algonquin for ice-out trout for decades and in the last few years have been joined by some of the best people I had the honour of tripping with, all thanks to Hammock Forums. A couple of our group are even quite accomplished photographers and the EGL trip reports are all online.

So make sure you bring along something to grill over the fire, pack warm and we'll see you at Valens.

    Hey Mark1065,

Welcome to the forum. I am also a new hanger and new to the forum. I have been canoeing and backcountry camping in Algonquin Park for many years. The forum has a tremendous amount of information and I look forward to meeting other members.
