That is hardly the fault of the ENO hammock. More like operator error. Nylon hammocks are not intended to be left up indefinitely in the sun. Hence the need for proper care.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

I know that's why i put in the details like it was contently left in the sun. Also I wouldn't ever say i want the most durable hammock because i would make something out or steel like that mettle hammock that the artist made that was talked about in a different thread (if anyone can find it is angrysparrow)

I thought of it more as filling a request.

I'm new at this game, so my two cents are probably worth considerably less than that, but...

All fabrics degrade, and none are immune to destruction by a determined abuser. Having said that, if you want a bomber and are willing to tolerate bulk and weight, build it yourself out of cordura nylon.

While the use of ballistic nylon would indeed make a substantial product I doubt it would function very effectively as a hammock. It is so stiff and infelxible it would not gather or compress very well for a gathered end hammock. Admittedly too much stretch is not a good thing but neither is too little. The fabric needs to conform to the body to some extent to be comfortable. I did make an early DIY out of heavy cotton upholstery fabric. It was less than successful for a number of reasons, but the fabric being too heavy is one one of them I think.
building a bridge out of cordura might be a very different issue. I'll let the bridge builders comment on that feasibility

The cordura weave is also a very textured weave which makes it nice for gear such as packs etc. But I am not sure I would want to sleep on it.
