Does anyone use either a double ended stuff sack or bishop bag with a tarp if already using snakeskins?

I use the double ended sack that came with my Blackbird, and it's great. I mark the head end with some white string, and then I know which way around it is. The setup and takedown are really super quick.

With my Ridgerunner, on the other hand, I can't see the use of the double ended sack. Because of the triangles, the bag has to sit right up at the end of that, which is out in the elements (the tarp would have to be over 12 feet in order to cover it). I don't like the idea of my stuff sack being out in the rain, so I just use it as a single ended sack. That's pretty easy too. I just stuff it in so that the ends are the last thing I pack. Then I can grab one end, attach it to a tree, walk over to the other tree while the hammock comes out of the bag, and attach the other end. Takedown is also easy. Unhook one end, drape the hammock around my neck while I go to unhook the other end, then stuff it all in the sack, starting with the middle of the hammock so that the ends are accessible again next time. Easy, nothing touches the ground, and the stuff sack is never out in the rain.
It's bad luck to be superstitious.

I use one that is oversized. I jam my hammock, TQ, UQ, and small down pillow in it which goes in the bottom of my pack. When I deploy it, it all comes out and poof, I am set up.

This is what I have been doing for a little while now. It's almost perfect.

I've been using a double-ended stuff sack for a couple of months now - still don't see how it improves my life.

*big grin* Well if you want to send it to me I can use it just to be sure it works correctly

j/king. Guess that is why there is so many different ways to do the same thing. What one of us like another thinks is wasted space.

I use one and like it. When I deploy the hammock I leave the stuff sack on the suspension at one end and I stuff things like my TQ/UQ stuff sacks, tarp, stuff sack, stake bag, etc inside the sack before I cinch down the cord on it. It gives me a convenient place to stash all the little stuff I might lose otherwise and when I'm ready to break down camp I can pull out my items and pack up without having to hunt down all these things.
