I know I am looking forward to this hang and to meet some members on here. The videos on you tube from prior hangs looks like a lot of fun. It would be nice to have a little snow though but just being out there in the woods and on trail is fine.
You'll love it Country..It's like a "micro expedition"! Good company, winter conditions with a chance to be extreme, and between the close proximity of a trailhead,and the vast knowledge of the RHK veterans,marginally safe!

I am hoping for some colder temps to really test my stuff before then but if not that's fine. I think I have my clothing system worked out and bought a 0 degree + 4 oz overfill HQ incubator from another forum member. Hopefully I'm in the ballpark.

Just left Ripshin (2.5 miles away from Roan High Knob and 2000+ feet lower) and 6 inches of snow on the road and growing quickly. We said out loud that
we hope for similar this year on the Roan!

Should have done last years when it was balmy, wondering if it will repeat.
Sounds like some neos overshoes might be a good thing to pick up between now and then or snowshoes.
