Piece of crap... just saw this and I already got my order this week. I guess it never does stop...
I am curious though about OutandBack's question about the sock's capability with a full length underquilt.
Also, can anyone show me what the tapered end looks like? I'm wondering if it's a possibility to make both ends cinched instead of just one.
FYI, I don't have it pulled down tight, because I'm not in it. Also, this is on an 11' hammock with an Incubator 20. It's a little tight pulling the end that cinches over the fattest part of the quilt, but it's fine after that.
This is over the ball of fabric on the gathered end. It will obviously be a bit more tight when I'm in the hammock from the ridgeline being pulled taught, but I couldn't find anything handy that was 170# to stick in the hammock before I took the picture.

Thanks for the photo GoatHanger. Really helps a lot. Does the mitten hook come installed or did you put that on yourself? I think that would be a good idea to keep the sock centered especially if you have the summer version.
The mitten hook was pre-installed.
I added another pic with it pulled over the gathered end. Hope it's helpful.
About it being a bit tight when pulling it past the fattest part of the quilt... it's only like that when I'm in it, and probably only because this hammock is hung in my storage room from an I-beam, and a floor joist from upstairs. The hangle is fairly steep. Probably around 45°. I'm thinking it wouldn't be tight at all anywhere, with the standard 30° hangle. Just haven't had a chance to use the sock outside yet. Pretty awesome though. I dig it.

Sweet. Doesn't look too worrisome of an opening, especially when the SRL is pulled tight.
Yeah, I agree. I edited my above post, but you had already replied by then. I type slow on my phone. Heh :-)
