Savage Gulf - South Cumberland Plateau, TN

This was my home last weekend, the hang was as good as the scenery!

I'm heading down Saturday-your pictures fired me up! I've always taken the the Big Creek Rim trail in the Alum Gap but was thinking about taking the Big Creek Gulf trail this time. Do you know how hard that will be with a 30# pack? I've heard its a tuff trial.

I was out there at the same time with a buddy. We stayed at the Saw Mill camp site. Perfect temps for hiking and a campfire.

    Nice rig you hav there.

I've done the Big Creek Gulf trail. Its pretty rocky. Its not bad once you get to the bottom but the climb in and out is semi rough.
