Cheap rope for whoopie sling practice

The cord Walmart sells in the camping section for $1.99 for 50 ft on a plastic caddy can be used to make whoopie slings if you pull out the core. I wouldn't recommend it for any real load bearing use but it was fun to practice with. I just couldn't wait for my Amsteel to come in the mail.
