Southmark, You're right! My math was OK, but my science was bad. Nevertheless, there ought to be plenty of light to make shadows in the deep, dark woods. The old custom among the 'Gullahs' and 'Geechees' in the low-country of SC was to paint their door and window frames blue to keep the 'haints' away. As far as I know, it worked pretty well for the most part, so, I'm gonna use an Amsteel Blue ridge line on my tarp, just for safety's sake.

I'm going to try to make this one... Linville Gorge during the week, then off to Sipsey, followed by MAHHA the next weekend!

I won't tell my wife just yet...

I plan to be there, though I may be there for the first couple of days or the last couple, not sure. I'll have to check on the family Halloween plans etc. This sounds like fun. Who knows, it's been such a relatively cool summer, maybe we will have a Halloween snow!

Skippy, don't forget that you were going to plan a Pinhoti hang also.

Hi! Ewker, Karo seems to talk about how he's going on a trip but never makes it? Excuses. Excuses at lease that's what I hear! I will get word to him in the morning about the trip. He's suppose to be going somewhere this weekend. I think his wife has him doing something or his kids or he was going to go but can't go? Tomorrow is the last day that I will have a contact with Karo, my friend is coming to nights next week with me so no more contact with him. Karo is a super nice guy I hope he does show up on one of our trips!
