Warbonnet Ridgerunner suspension triangle mod for use with Dutchware Speed Hooks

I've been waiting for a good excuse to try a new/shorter/lighter set of suspension triangles/dogbones for my WBRR. I'm thinking that Dutch's new Speed Hooks might make it easy to do so.

With the way that the Speed Hooks can hook directly to the triangle cordage, wouldn't it be possible to use one long dogbone at each end of the hammock and just connect the Speed Hook to the mid-point of the dogbone - instead of using two separate dogbones for each leg of the triangle which requires a method of joining them to form the apex?

That would be possible but I would think it would want to slide down one side. I just put speed hooks on my ridge runner by larks heading a small continuous loop on both dog bones and connecting the speed hook to that.

I've seen people do this, and spice a Brummel in the middle to make a loop they attache the suspension to. I intend to try it on my next bridge.

I've also had success sheathing 7/64 amsteel with 550 paracord (core strings removed), and then using an alpine butterfly. This increases the bend radius of the knot, so it wont de-rate the cord so much, and also prevent's any slipping due to the nature of the amsteel. I think about 12" of sheathing material is needed.
