Firstly, I'm new to this forum so hi all!
Anyways since I used your site a fair bit for research I thought I'd share a recent DIY project with you.
It is a full size UQ that closes up like a pod.
Specs are:
Reflective gold/black ripstop outer, (gold on inner for fir resistance).
2 inch noseeum baffles throughout, 9 length and two across width.
800fp down fill.
Poppers are used to fit it to the hammock.
Webbing is used with buckles to seal ends, adjust hang height, close top and compress it down on packing.
By offsetting the top and bottom baffle positions I had enough of the top fabric overhanging to make the edging baffles to seal it when cold.
I have never really sewn before but I think it went pretty well all things considered.
What do you think?
