    Thread injector information needed

I just found this neat looking machine on CL but I can't find anything about it online. They're calling it a Viking C17. It looks to be a straight stitch and I found two other pictures of the same model on a search, but that's about it. Are there any Husky experts among us?

I can't say anything to the make or model. Definitely take some fabric and try it out if you go to check it out.

I've heard that vintage machines can become more or less worthless if their service has been neglected for too long. (Or rather, it would cost too much to get them up and running)

Looks like a straight stitch version of the model 21.

Scroll to the middle of the page for the only thing I found...http://wendyswistfulquilts.blogspot....1_archive.html

If you're after a straight stitch machine, I doubt you can go much wrong with an all metal (confident guess) Viking Husqvarna for $30 or less?

That's one of the two mentions if the machine I found in my searching. I still haven't heard back from the person yet and it's an hour from me. I need another sewing machine like I need a hole in the head, but it should be a solid machine and would add a country to my list. So far have US (Singer and Davis), Scotland (Singer), Germany (Pfaff, passed on a Singer 15-88C), Italy (Necchi) and Switzerland (Elna).

I found it called a Husqvarna Viking CI 71 in this blog post, but I can't find any more info on that than I did the other name.

Looks very nice. I don't think you can have to many machines.
