    still doing black friday pricing?

Wondering if the good folks at hammock gear are still doing a black Friday sale like in the past?

I'm not sure they've officially announced anything yet, but I'd say it's a safe bet they'll have a sale.

    I'm debating a 0° Incubator...something I always said I "couldn't justify" with just a couple winter trips each year

Wondering if it's worth passing on the 'possible' $28 savings and just get it going now before the mad rush?

In the past, most of our excellent cottage vendors have had Black Friday sales that were anywhere from "relatively good deals" to "outrageously generous".

From their perspective, they don't want to announce anything too very early because it would tend to lessen purchases (at normal prices) in the days and weeks leading up to their sale. And they obviously would prefer not to do that (i.e., lessen both the number of purchases and the resulting profitability thereof).

So -- if you really want a particular piece of gear and need it soon, then you should probably just buy it now. If you can wait a few months for delivery, then it will probably pay to wait until Black Friday. But remember: they are inundated with orders during their sale. You may consider yourself fortunate if you receive Black Friday orders by Christmas.

Yes, he is. Talked to him last week. Good things come to those who wait! Consider going down the line of vendors and making sure you are on their email lists.

Oh my how do you cure this addiction? I just ordered my 0° +1oz Incubator, in my usual black!

I was tempted to wait until black friday, but assuming a 10% discount, I figured it was worth $28 to get in ahead of the rush and also satisfy my impatience I would had done it even if the sale was 15%

    Come on winter...bring your stuff!!

I think that was a good decision Mark. In before the rush and I think if memory serves me right last year you had to pretty much buy a quilt set to qualify for the deal.

    I think 10% off <$500, 15% off $500-$900, etc...something like that.

Either way, I'm excited to get out into the cold. My 20° gets me really low, but I think a 0° is a good decision for peace of mind. I sold my 40° since I found my 20° so versatile for the temps I hike in.
