    Welcome Miu and Kerby,
Glad to have you hanging out with us.

And, Miu, since you have sewn a pillow case you have all the skills you need to start becoming a DIY'er. You'll learn and improve your skills as you go.

I have only been hanging for 1.5 years with sewing (with stuff turning out) for the last 6 months, now I am getting ready to make my second quilt and use a complete DIY setup on my sobo hike this summer. There is a learning curve, but that is part of the fun.
Is that too much to ask? Girls with frikkin' lasers on their heads?

Well, I am pretty arts-n-crafty. A few years ago I made a quilt out of blue jean squares. Maybe silnylon is the next step It would make my grandma real proud.

    Welcome to the forum Miu!

The real initiation for a hammock hanger and DIYer is when (1) your first home made hammock fails and dumps you into a muddy ground and (2) your cloned tarp gives you an early morning bath while you are still asleep.
