For my food contribution, I plan on cooking up a batch of Babel Fish 5's BBQ Spaghetti recipe on Friday night. There's nothing better to warm you up on a cold winter night in the piney woods. And we'll get to have it fresh off the stove, instead of reconstituted.

On Saturday, I will make the Dutch Oven Chicken Wings recipe I recently posted to the Camp Kitchen section of the forum. I'll bring along a few other items as well including

    BACON!

I am started to get pumped for this hang.

Sounds good Tom. I will have Venison Stew over the fire for Saturday afternoon for a light lunch for everyone. Doubt it will feed everyone. Not sure what I will have for dinner.

One of the guys coming with me has a wiggys bag. We've been out twice once in single digits and once in -5 and his bag worked great for him. Those things are insane if you watch the videos of people testing them.

Okay, so now I fear my shoes are inadequate.......I am usually just running or hiking in the winter, not sitting around or sleeping in the outdoors. I will bring my BA pad as well. I was thinking of getting an UQ protector as it will help with any wind, but it would be too late to get one now. Maybe will have one to sell???

I will be bringing vegan gluten free (please only nice comments) lentil stew for whenever..... I will have it already cooked and needing warming from my crockpot.

My that is a cold forecast!

The fact that everyone is excited about this hang I should not be so nervous, with all the generous offers of sharing gear and all, but boy am I nervous.... : 0

I want to stress a few things.

One: knowing the people who are coming we could supply you with almost anything that you need.

Two: I know we have a building really close to where we are hanging so if someone's day gear or night is inadequate you can go there and warm up.

Three: if none of that works, I live less than a mile away. I can bring anyone there really quickly to warm up and what not.

    Be nervous but be excited.

Lastly:!!!! For the new folks that have never done cold weather camping. Leave the pride at home. If you need help PLEASE ASK. There is no judging one way or the other. We are all there to have fun and make sure everyone else does too.
