How to make an Adjustable Structural Ridge Line

    Hey guys!

So I just received my PolyD hammock from Dutch! I installed the suspension but I'm stuck at making the ASR. Tried to find some guides online on how to make them but I wasn't successful.

I got some red zing it that I'm planning to use.

Anyone can point me to the right place?

    Thanks!

Research how to make a whoopie sling - that's essentially what one is (or one way to do it at least).

look at the link in my sig line. On the whoopie calculator Xcel download, on the bottom, on the adjustable ridgeline tab, follow the directions.

Take a look at the rolling/Magnus hitch thread here in the suspension forum.

Hi I use a UCR for this and find it better than a whoopie because of the fixed loops at each end. X trekker has a good tutorial on this but you will have to adjust your length for a ridgeline. He uses dynaglide but zing it works finehttp://m.youtube.com/?#/watch?v=17_uXaEfZ9w

Good choice. One thing to keep in mind, you can easily set up the rolling/Magnus hitch to help you determine the length you want to use with the UCRs.

I know the guideline for a fixed structural ridgeline is 83% of the total hammock length. The hammock started at 11' long, but after hemming and rolling the end channels, my finished length is 10'-6". Would you recommend I calculate the ridgeline from the rough 11' length, giving me a 110" ridgeline or the finished 10'-6" length, giving me a 105" ridgeline?
