Converting a Warbonnet Lynx to fit a Warbonnet BB

So, i have a WBRR with full length Lynx UQ. I also have a WBBB DL 1.7 that doesn't have an UQ, but does have a CCF pad. My question to the forum is, has anyone taken a Lynx and fitted it to a Blackbird? Seems like you could sew a channel on each end and take some shock cord thru the channel. that would synch up the ends and cut down any draft.

Probably too narrow to work well, and the curved edge shape wouldn't be conducive to use in a gathered end hammock.

Rectangular quilt's will work for both bridge and GE hammock's, in general. Unfortunately' shaped quilt's like the Lynx and Yeti are hammock-type specific.

What Boston said. The Lynx was specifically designed for the WBRR. I have never heard of somebody successfully converting it for gathered-end hammock use. If you have ever seen a Lynx and an underquilt for a GE side by side, you'll probably understand. GE underquilts are cut exactly the opposite of the Lynx: wider in the middle than on the ends to provide enough coverage.

If you still think you can make it work, you don't need to sew channels. Just attach shock cords to the four corners and hang it under your hammock. Quite a few GE underquilts don't have channels but fixed shock cords. It would allow you to see if the coverage would be sufficient for your needs without making major changes.

My advice, though, would be to start saving up for a GE underquilt...

I agree with the others---the lynx is too narrow, and shaped different than a ge uq.
FYI: If you want to know what type a certain bear is, sneak up behind it and kick it. Then,
run like crazy and climb up a tree. If the bear climbs the tree and eats you, it's a black
bear. If the bear just pushes the tree over and eats you, it's a grizzly bear : )

Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me, either, just leave me alone.
