MO- ozark trail- taum sauk section November 23,25

    Hello,
I am going to backpack the taum sauk section, I just realized that the firearms hunting season will end on 25 Nov.
Is it safe to do the hike?
Is there Anything I need to do, like wearing certain color?
    Thanks.

I'd definitely wear some blaze orange or wait until the next weekend. It's an awesome section of trail, have fun!

Thanks guys, I did wear blaze orange as you suggested.
I did start yesterday, but somethings went wrong for my friends, he first forgot his insulated, water-wind prof pants, and it was raining too much, and we got delayed for 2 hours to get his pants. Then, we decided to start from Taum Sauk Mt parking lot, instead of Highway 21, to camp at Taum Sauk creek as planned. we camped there, it was raining all night, and windy. My friend was not prepared well, and woke up all soaked in water, I don`t know how that happened to him, and it was his first time going backpacking. So he wanted to go back, and not finishing the hike, and since he was very cold, I thought I had to go back with him and not leaving him alone. So we both went back. It just turned out to be a one night trip, I enjoyed the area so much, I will go back to it when time allows, or I will see if someone here wants to go to it from here. I feel bad since I was planing for this for a while now.

Hopefully your friend learned a few things. It's a bummer your trip was cut short though.
