    PolyD Quality Control

I love Dutches Argon 1.6. But this PolyD is horrific. Wondering if it's a bad run?
It looks to be seconds. Has runs and snags all through it. Took it straight out of the package to my sewing machine so it hasn't been exposed to anything. I'm making a hammock for a friend, got it done and was looking over it and notice the bad.
I've never had any bad come from the vendors here. Has anyone else had trouble with this fabric?

Hard to get a good picture but it has the same look as some seconds I've had before but worst. :-/

Looks like you got a bad batch. I have a PolyD 1.4 hammock that I absolutely love.

I hope so. I wanted to like it and have never had anything bad from Dutch before.
But I'm definitely not comfortable with giving someone a hammy with runs in it like this. :-|
Just wish I would've notice before I sewed zippers on both sides for a integrated net..

While I don't know if that qualifies as "horrific" I do appreciate your concern and disappointment, especially after putting some work into it already.

Dutch is a phenomenal guy and I'm sure he'll be willing to make it right if it's within his realm.

Edit to add: I wonder what WOULD happen if you finished....

I may have been a bit harsh in my wording. It came out frustration after a couple hours of working with the fabric only to see I won't be able to use it..

It is pretty much finished, minus the net. I didn't notice until I was laying in it. So it held me. But I'm not willing to give it to someone else as it'll most likely get worst over time.

I know it sucks when it happens to you, but stuff like this is bound to slip through every once in a while. Good QC processes at the mill and when rolling/packing individual orders goes a long way, but it's impossible to catch everything.

I would just chalk it up to bad luck. I'm sure the vendor will be glad to issue a refund or replacement.

Fabrics from any source have the potential to have damage that slips through. I always look mine over carefully before putting any labor into a project. I'm betting you will too from now on. yesnod.gif
