    Portable Camping Hammock with Stand

trying to find a hammock I can put in the bedroom at home. Sportsmans warehouse has one with folding stand, but it looks like a swinging cot instead of a hammock similar to the wally world one in the link. Has anyone used one? Would it help with the back problems? I really don't have room for a hanging hammock.
    Thanks
    Myke

I slept in a Colman portable hammock a lot like that (and I think cheaper...) for several months. I ended up going to WalMart and getting an airbed on a builtin stand, mostly because I have 2 cats who like to sleep with me, and the hammock just plain didn't have room. I may alternate between the two, though. I don't want to invest in a 'real' bed while here in WA. I slept fine, but it isn't a camping hammock...

Those dimensions on the wally world hammock/cot look awfully small. 24" wide, not for me. Check your local stores, lots of sales on summer stuff right now. Lowes and Home Depot carry stands.
Or sneak over to cannibal's house and sleep there.

Gargoyle, the one at sportsmans warehouse is bigger, I just couldn't find a picture to post. Just wanted to show the style. I looked at the one at walmart, it may work for the kids. I thought about it and decided to go with an actual hanging hammock. Using AutoCAD to design a head and foot board that will span 3 studs to help distribute the weight. I wish I still had access to a waterjet. I have some really cool wildlife designs drawn in that would make my wife happy and give me a hammock hanger.

MMMM,,plasma and water jets, nice. I'm a fabricator guy too. If your sleeping in comfort and being healthier, your wife will definetely understand.

    I recently got this
    http://www.dickssportinggoods.com/pr...ductId=1264633
I live in a smallish apartment and, while it does take up half of my bedroom, it is well worth it! I've had back problems for almost 25 years now and after sleeping in a hammock, may never have to visit a chiropractor again! Currently, I have an ENO single but have ordered a double as I have two cats who insist on sleeping with me (they own the place, I'm just staff) and the extra room will be nice. I got two 1ft sections of heavy chain ($5.00 at Home Depot) to adjust the hang with...it's perfect!

I sat in one of those in sports authority it tipped me backwards before I could even lay down. I landed on the bar with my back and left pissed off.

I took a clamp like this,

and clamped it to the bedroom door frame, and wrapped some webbing around the front door to hang in the living room. I don't have convenient opposing doors in the bedroom.

I built one stand of emt tubing, just a rectangle with gusseted corners and perpendicular legs at either end. I'm going to do another design soon.

I left that stand behind when I moved.
