Here's a simple guide I made to get a basic indoor setup! http://hobohammocks.com/indoor-hammocking/
If you're not in the air, you're on the ground

I see people mentioning the weight capability of the brackets they're using, but nothing about the studs. Sorry if I missed it. Can a stud safely support my
275 lbs. frame?

I would say it depends on where in the stud you are attaching. Middle or higher. Niger would hold better. As well as how the stud is secured. Middle of wall single stud as a vertical load wall not as good a corner or possibly door/window framing where studs are generally stacked. Still a vertical suppose but more side by side.
Hope this helps.
About a year ago my son decided he wanted to hang in his room. It was time for his bed to go and I was happy to not buy another bed. We put a couple of lag thread eye bolts in the wall and BEHOLD! Happy son. The best part is when he is out with his buds I sneak in his room and take a good nap.
It's good to be the dad.

I used L-Track (logistics track) for my wall anchors. They work great, making it real easy to raise/lower head or foot.
BTW, the ring and track is rated 3000# @ 45*
The 12" track uses 3 #12 or better screws to anchor it to the stud, far better than a single eye bolt or hook for us endowed hangers!

I like this idea a whole lot! It's cheap and adjustable!
I currently use a shorter turtledog (only 10foot fence pole). I also have used a structural support beam that is in my room and the other end to a security cage that resides in my windows. I live in a basement and there is sliding cage over the windows to prevent break ins. I've never hung long from it because I'm afraid it will rip out. Even know it's probably plenty secured to either side of the window.
It's above my previous record player so I don't want to take the chance haha
I bought eye hooks already but after seeing this setup I'm gonna keep them as backup and buy these rails!
It looks like in the picture you are using the fine thread screws that they sell. Do you trust them threading into the wall stud or would you swap them out with different hardware? Using different bolts that don't have a tapered head would render some of the adjustment holes useless but would give some peace of mind that they won't pull out.
