MH & Mrs. MH took our first trip to Land Between the Lakes (KY) - North End - North/South Trail - 30 miles.
By being in the south (TN), we don't have winters like up north, but we were still expecting it to be a chilly weekend in LBL. Fortunately, a warm front came through and pushed temps from 30° to 50°+ warm. We camped from Saturday-Monday.
Saturday night we were comfortable and had a good night's rest. Sunday morning; however... rained, neh, poured ALL DAY! We decided to stay another night in the same location instead of packing to a new unknown area and be sopping wet all day. Sunday night after it finally stopped raining, wind was 30mph and gusts up to 40mph. We held our ground though! Brutal!
Mrs. MH didn't enjoy all the weather and wind!
We enjoyed our first trip together as a married couple and have the fever for more trips in the near future! I may have to go solo a few times because she hates the cold! That's why we went last weekend!
