So- I've now tried-
HYPER D 1.0
PolyD 1.2
Both are great and in the 4x9 size I tested there was little difference in my opinion. The PolyD actually came out very similar in weight so the 1.2 must have a bit of rounding in it. Both make excellent hammocks in sub 5oz weights.
I just saw someone who made an M50 hammock that appeared to work.
So the followup-
Have any of you had success with-
Argon .67?
Argon .90?
Yes, 5 oz is light enough, just curious about trying these fabrics too. No sense sewing them up if others have tried and failed.
I also realize some CF hammocks have been made, but for cost and weight savings (and potential drawbacks of delam, and 100% waterproof issues) the Cuben seems little worth it, especially if you could hang on .67 and .90 weights of fabric.
Thanks and happy holidays to all.
