I'd love to go, but I've depleted my savings of "brownie points" at home and I'm trying to build up enough to perhaps go to Trail Days, or definitely SEHHA in June. Looks like a good trip though.

Remember Patrick, a little jewelery goes a LONG way when it comes to brownie points man.

I wish it were that easy. Unfortunately, jewelry doesn't do chores or raise kids. I hear ya though...

I'll second that. It took an act of congress to do the Foothills Trail. The "Commander" is very supportive, but the three kids, house and work often times require much more. BD

If your up in DC Jeff and need a quick get away place, go check out Prince William Forest Park http://www.nps.gov/prwi/ . It's just north of Quantico Marine Base on Rt 1 at Dumfries. I camped there last year on a bike trip and I was rather impressed with the place. And they didn't say anything to me about hanging from the trees.

I thought about that until I saw this....

It's close enough to run down for a quick day hike some weekend, though...thanks for pointing it out.

I could come a little further south if it would help anyone make it.
