Question Can and has the drawing been duplicated in real life?

Can and has the drawing numbered 3825 on page 589 in THE ASHLEY BOOK OF KNOTS been done in real life?
I keep thinking about the proportions of the things in the drawing. Are the oars super long and the people super short?
Hanging hammocks from a tripod like that does seem like a good idea for many places.
What if you cover it and make a hammock tee-pee
What other make shift hammock stands are there that don't require trees?

A name, picture, or description of the knot would be helpful

My understanding of what you are trying to say is that there is a diagram in the middle of a book that neither HC4U or I have hurd of that shows a hammock hung from the inside of a tripod?!? I guess it could work

I have PDF version of the ABOK. I will try and dig it up and find the illustration that you speak of.

Looking interesting but them legs would need to be pretty long.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

How long would the legs need to be, assuming a 30 sag angle from vertical, and 16-ish feet between attachment points? I can't do that trig.
One day I'll come up with a clever sig.
