    Back to Gilwell.....

http://www.woodbadge444.com/back-to-gilwell-song/ I didn't think you could ever forget that!

Buffalo Patrol...just writing my ticket...go back for the second long weekend in 2 weeks...and can't wait!

Thought I had the tarp issue resolved...thought I had an old family size tent that wasn't being used (poles wore out, etc)...that fly would have been perfect. But I gave it away to a fellow that was without a home at the time. At least it went to good use.

Well, I bought a cheap canopy from Wally World, figuring the rain fly would be perfect for a hammock. Mistake. See, grown men can admit when they make mistakes. It poured liquid sunshine for 2 days...and because of the canopy top, I couldn't stop it from bunching up along the ridgeline. Read: I got wet!

hey look into that sportsman's gear guide tarp. It really is a great tarp. do internet search, it's like $30 bucks. And you wont get wet because it's huge.

I would second this. I got one and I also use it when I host groups on the river for the kitchen area. I have a larger tarp for people, a MSR Guide from Northwest River Supplies. I like to use the Sportsman for kitchen work because it is white and the light makes it easy to work. A great value for the $.

Until that one comes, I came across an old tarp in the Troop closet...
