    Blackbird pole mod

Here's a quick and easy mod. I took my SF tarp pole mod I bought from Dutch and girth hitch them to the guy lines for the shelf and door. Adds room and you don't have to guyout the sides.

This pole placement is a major improvement and one I intend to use on my BB from here on.

Ok, why are the poles crossed?, it it because of how long they are?have you tried getting in it yet?

No real reason. The uppermost section is narrower. I guess it looks cooler crossed.
Getting in is easier because the upper fabric isn't flopping around. I had my iPad in the shelf and it tipped the hammock a little. I ended up guying the sides for stability.

Thanks. I guess I still have a use for your poles when I use a smaller tarp.

I'm a little confused with the setup. Maybe I just need to see it being used with the tarp. I just received my donut style pull outs from Dutch so I guess it doesn't really matter, just curios.

Hi Coil, Now your blackbird has wings, haha

I know you just used your tarp poles for a test and it looks like it works pretty well, but now,
if you wanted to make a BB pole kit more permanent would you do anything different?
I would bet thinner lighter poles would work since they are just holding out the bugnet.

    Wings! Lol
If I wanted to make it permanent I would add pole pockets for easier set up. And your right with thinner and lighter poles.
