A little delayed getting this posted online, but this was how we spent our July 4th holiday weekend this year.
    Thanks for watching. Enjoy!

That looks beautiful. Your boys look like they were having fun. What packs are they using? Been wanting to get one for my boy, but finding one that fits him well is tough.

The Fuller Ridge Trail is one of my favorites. Beautiful scenery indeed!

My 9 year old wears The North Face Terra 55 and my 7 year old wears a Deuter Fox 40.
If I keep them around 13lbs for the oldest and 10lbs for the youngest I don't hear much complaining.

Trouble is these packs are heavy even when they're empty. The North Face Terra 55 weighs around 3lbs empty.

With them being so young and me carrying so much of their gear, I can't afford to have their empty packs weigh so much.
If I can cut 2lbs from his empty pack weight then that's 2lbs of his gear I can take out of my pack and put back in his.

I'm looking at getting them a Gossamer Gear Mariposa and/or G4 which weigh about 1.5lbs and 1lb.

Hope you can find something that works for you and your boy. Definitely a great way to spend time together!

Great looking trip with your boys. They looked like they were having a blast.
Everyone ought to believe in something....I believe I'll go set up the hammock!

Thanks 2ply! It's great to be able to get out of the city and run and around in the mountains.
