I remember us talking about that at the November hang. Glad to see you got it figured out, now I hope it works out for ya.

A hammock and a boat...looking forward at the past. Try rigging fore and aft if you can, which is what sailors have always done, just for the boat motion you mention. And if the Feds are lurking about, tie the end of the fishing line to your big toe to prove fishing intention...
That's funny! I would like to try fore and aft, but there is no place the hammock stand will fit oriented that way. I had been having thoughts similar to your toe tie fishing line...I think I'm going to throw out a bare hook on a catfish rig. That should pass muster. Really, anchored out in the lake it should not matter, fishing or not. There are houseboats on this lake. You are not required to fish to be on the lake at night. Besides, I really don't want to bait it up as I do not want to have to get up to reel in a fish after I get in my hammock. I like to fish, but I like to sleep even more. Now...if the crappie are biting good that is a different matter.tie the end of the fishing line to your big toe to prove fishing intention...
Thank you everyone for your kind comments. I hope to get some pics on the water soon. I'll post them up.

Nice! Also have the advantage of a consistent setup, every night.
if you want to be alerted to a fish on your line, while you sleep, you should get a rattle reel.

+1 on the rattle reel. Nice setup on the boat!
Way to go! Screw the man!!!!
Thanks guys! I'm about to order some ripstop and try to sew up a solution to close in the back and the sides of the bimini top a little bit for dew control.
