    Fleece Top Quilt

Made my 1st TQ this morning using some fleece and Hi-Loft batting from Jo-Ann Fabrics. This is for indoor use only so I wasn't concerned with weight. The thread on the bottom had some nasty looks to it, but it holds together fine. Not sure why the threads look like that. It was my 2nd time sewing and I thought it went well enough. I made 3 tablecloth hammocks a few weeks back for the kids and myself and that was super easy to sew so I thought I'd try something a little more complex. Having multiple layers of fleece plus the batting definitely push the limits of the machine. Just trying to get all that under the foot was a struggle.

Good for you - that's good skills building through experience. I like the picture above the bed in the 3rd photo :>)

Looks great. Can you tell me a little more about how you anchored the hammocks to the wall? Take a few close ups if you can. Thanks

It's anchored with http://www.tractorsupply.com/en/stor...tainless-steel. Just pre-drill with 1/4 bit, so you have plenty of wood for the threads to bite into. I'm using dog bones from 7/64 Amsteel Blue for the suspension. I'll take some pics later tonight and post.

Nice job. I've been toying with the idea of making a quilt just like that. I picked up 2 fleece blankets from Wally World for less than $5.00 same camo pattern too.

I used these in the basement for my initial setup, but I felt it was overkill for me. http://www.tractorsupply.com/en/stor...-5000-lbs-load
