Okay, now you are bragging.I just give it a few taps on the ground and then set it down. Last night I just stuck it in the snow! Not getting up from the warm quilts is a BIG deal.

Some national parks have long waiting lists for camping reservations. When you have to wait a year to sleep next to a tree, something is wrong. ~George Carlin

You're never lost if you don't care where you are.
Read through all the posts.... I don't have issue with any creativity if duty calls though here in my PNW the temps even in winter where we camp rarely hit 0. That said, my normal routine is to focus on consuming all my liquids in healthy amounts before 1700, and I usually take care of any _needs_ before our star gazing is over and heading down for the night. Most nights, at home or in the wilds I do not have to relieve myself before awaking at sunrise.
I'm a happy healthy 57yrs young and have been on this daily routine for over 3 decades and it is fairly consistent.

I don't think that I am to this point yet. I have friends that use bags and such, but it have never bothered me to get up. Part of it is probably enjoying getting up and stretching from ground camping because I would end up sore.
And my last camp out was in the rain....I wanted everything under my tarp dry because I had to stay there. In this scenario I can't imagine anyone not wanted to go outside of their tarp radius.
But since I do not camp in heavy snow and freezing weather I will not rush to judge.
LOL what an idea!
I only use my contacts anymore, no glasses. So when I get up to go I'm not missing the stars or anything...it's basically just a blur. Tired, sore, a little cold, heavy bladder, 7° and breezy? Yeah, anything to be able to stay in the hammock is a winner!
Looks like another great multiuse for my Everclear stove fuel!
