calling LoneTracker for a hang near Iron Mtn, MI

Anyone heard from Lonetracker? I sent him a PM and got no reply.

Me and Mountain Goat (formerly known as Thing1) are trying to decide where to go in January. We can't make the Frozen Butt hang, so we thought we'd do our own.

If there's no snow covered winter weather further south, we are thinking of heading for Lonetracker's neighborhood.

Anyone know how to reach him?

    Thanks!

He's not very active on here, try BushcraftUSA forums. I'm 2 hours from him, but have never met him. I'm 15 miles from the Porcupine Mtns, we have a foot of snow and usually get dumped on in December, snowbelt area. Just giving you an option if you don't reach him. Pic is from last winter.

Oh wait... He's probably tracking, alone. It is deer season, I think black powder and bow.

I'll try there too... haven't logged in at BCUSA for a while. [Oops... acct inactive!]

It would be great to visit me brother in Chicago, catch up with Lonetracker, and meet some new hangers as well!

We're thinking of heading north early in January, not sure exactly when yet. Will keep ya'll posted.

Obtained phone#, made contact... good to be in touch with Lonetracker again.

Other things have our new plans in the air again... but we'll find a way to do a cold hang in Jan, somehow!

Good to hear you got in touch. Plans are useless, planning is essential.

Tell him to check out the WI winter hang if you talk to him again. It's in February.

I can't do a January hang this year but hikingdad will be doing this years winter hang in February. I am also heading up by lonetracker for a trip with lake superior bushcrafters group that month.

I'm located in the Upper Peninsula and would definitely attend the Frozen Butt hang if it was hosted here.
