Well, that's a bummer. Is there still going to be a get together? I can make it Saturday morning through Sunday, if anyone is game.

bring a shovel, will help get unstuck from the not best parking area and clear snow from the fire pit area and dig out your hang site, and build a snow wall to cut the wind.
use a sled to haul your gear in. a rope tide to the front is all I use and all that is needed on this trip.the higher you stack it the more it will tip,so longer is better.i put my setup in a plastic tote, ready
to hang then tie the tote into the sled.
you do not need that much stuff. just keep repeating that as you pack.
forcast so far is for single digits above.your 0 deg stuff should work good.i sleep in my dry cloths and am prepared to use my coat or other cloths under my quilt if I get cold.we will also have a tinder bundle ready for easy start if someone wakes up cold they should be able to get the fire roaring quick.
bring some snacks you can eat if you get cold at night. some energy helps the furnace keep working.
some people, make that many like using a hot water bottle to heat up their foot box. during the coldest night
of deer season I had a bad experience with a loose cap on a 2 quart juice container I was using for a hot water bottle. not going to risk it myself again.
we will have a very hot maple wood fire .you can use it to cook on or bring one of those little stoves. also bring a bow saw or whatever to help with wood gathering. wool cloths is the best for this type of camping. drys out quick by the fire and does not burn while doing so. cotton or canvass is good around the fire also, but takes a lot longer to dry. nylon melts, layer under one of the other fabrics if you going to be by the fire. a pot with a bail is nice, we will have a cook stand tripod thingy we rig up over the fire to hang stuff. i will bring a big pot and big coffee pot to melt snow and keep warm water on hand.
always share your bacon or large meat items. as well as home made baked goods.
snow is about 12 to 16 inches deep. snowshoes are nice to use but not an absolute. i have two pair if you need some. we will most likely go on a hike. I am bringing my .22. snowshoe hares would be good supper.
feel free to ask if you have any ?? or concerns. been on allot of these and we always get back in almost as good of shape as when we left.
